"La Colombiana" a musical documentary featuring Totó La Momposina

This documentary deals with themes of belonging, identity and culture survival. La Colombiana documents Totó La Momposina's role as ambassador and guardian of Colombia's rich Caribbean heritage through her multi-faceted musical career.
The screening will be followed by a Q & A with the directors of the documentary, Amanda Homi and Jake Holmes.
"La Colombiana" has English subtitles.
This screening is presented as part of the Latin American Studies Luncheon Series.
